Family Education Association

The Family Education Association (FEA) is St Dominic School's family/teacher organization (similar to the PTA or PTO in other schools). The FEA's responsibilities include promoting communication between parents and teachers, supporting the teachers, and fostering a sense of community within the school and parish. The FEA is an essential part of St. Dominic School because its dues (paid at the beginning of each school year) and fundraising efforts help provide equipment, projects, programs and supplies that the school's limited operating budget is not be able to cover. 

President's Message:

Dear St. Dominic School Community,

I am honored and excited to serve as the FEA President for the 2009-2010 school year. As family members of St. Dominic School students, you are automatically members of the FEA. Your FEA fees support many essential projects, equipment and programs for our students and teachers which would not otherwise be possible. 

We encourage and invite you to attend our monthly meetings (please CLICK HERE for a schedule of our meetings for this school year).  At each meeting - which we try to keep under an hour at the most - we discuss current school issues, concerns, fundraising efforts, and upcoming events. All of these affect the students and staff of St. Dominic School, and we want you to be involved in this process. The FEA also organizes and sponsors numerous activities during the school year, and we need your help to make this possible. 

The mission of the FEA is to support the students, faculty and staff, and promote interest in St. Dominic School.  We cannot accomplish this without your help and input. Your opinion is welcome, and it is important!

Fundraising - In order to fulfill its responsibilities, the FEA sponsors several fundraising events:

Market Day - Click on the Market Day logo to order delicious food for any meal or snack. When you create a new account on the Market Day website, you will be asked to provide St. Dominic School's account number (7497) so we receive a portion of the proceeds from your order. You will be provided with the date to pick up your food in the school's Large Meeting Room. Thank you for your support!

Expense Reimbursements - All reimbursement requests should be submitted via the
St. Dominic School Reimbursement Form. Reimbursements for events must be accompanied by an evaluation/critique of the event (evaluation form is currently being created).  If the reimbursement request is for an FEA related event or activity, the completed form should be submitted to the FEA President, Mary Foti, for review.
