Principal's Message

Thank you for visiting our web site! We are proud of all we have been able to accomplish, and we look forward to sharing with you our wonderful spirit and the excellence that is our tradition.

What do you look for in a school for your children? Today more than ever, children and families need faith formation and a spiritual community in which they may grow and find support. At St Dominic School, the Catholic faith is taught daily, we join together for Mass weekly, sacraments are celebrated, prayer weaves throughout our day, moral decision-making skills are developed, and the call to serve and respond to the needs of others all form the basis of our program. We are able to integrate all areas of our lives with the vision of faith.

What do you look for in a school for your children? Education is meant to be exciting, involving, and a life-long pursuit. At St Dominic School children are engaged in the learning process. Caring, quality teachers challenge children to go beyond, to give their very best, to think deeply. It begins even as the youngest of our children explores the world, and it extends to our eighth graders as they tackle science fair projects, study the Constitution, grapple with algebra, compose essays, master a foreign language, and develop higher reading skills. The school environment nurtures this growth. The families expect it, we direct it, and the children grow through it.

What do you look for in a school for your children? More than a building, more than a place of work, a school is a vital link in a community. St Dominic School is a place where families gather and share. They sing, they dance, they play. They join together for holidays, and they find an extended family as the years pass. They pray. And they understand how important we are to each other.

We hope you will be able to share the excitement of St Dominic School. Join us in this journey of faith, and discover the path to excellence! God bless you and your family.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Kathleen Cherney
